Following the distribution of over 300,000 Beta Pass NFTs, which provided early access to our pioneering liquid staking protocol, we are excited to invite the entire community to join us on this journey.
During the Beta phase, our early testers provided invaluable feedback, helping us refine and optimize the Kintsu liquid staking experience. With the Testnet now fully open, users can directly interact with our protocol, stake MON, and explore the dynamic opportunities provided by sMON across a growing number of partner platforms.
Wallets Supported on Kintsu Testnet
Accessibility and ease of use remain at the forefront of our priorities. We are pleased to announce that Kintsu Testnet supports a variety of wallets, including: Phantom, HaHa Wallet, and any EVM-Compatible Wallet: MetaMask to WalletConnect, we’ve ensured that Kintsu is accessible to as many users as possible.
These integrations make it simple for users to connect, stake, and utilize their sMON within the Monad ecosystem.
How to Get Started
Participating in the Kintsu Testnet is easy:
Connect a Wallet: Use Phantom, HaHa Wallet, or any EVM-compatible wallet to join
Claim MON Faucet: Access free MON tokens through the Testnet faucet
Stake MON for sMON: Seamlessly convert MON to sMON using the Kintsu protocol
Utilize sMON: Engage with our partners’ platforms to explore diverse DeFi opportunities, more information on partner-specific integrations coming soon!
What Can You Do on Kintsu Testnet?
While Monad’s Testnet does not yet have live staking at the protocol level, Kintsu is currently simulating the staking UI to provide users with a real feel for the liquid staking experience. Users can stake their MON to receive sMON and interact with the unstaking mechanism, which follows a structured withdrawal process similar to what will be live on mainnet.
Staking and Unstaking Mechanics:
Stake MON for sMON: Users can stake MON through the Kintsu interface and receive sMON, representing their staked assets while maintaining liquidity.
Withdrawal Requests: To unstake, users initiate a withdrawal request, which enters a batching phase.
Batching Period: All withdrawal requests are grouped and processed within a 48-hour batching window.
Cancellation Flexibility: Users can cancel their withdrawal request anytime before the batching process begins.
Unbonding Period: Once batched, there is a standard 14-day unbonding period before tokens are released from the staking pool.
Claiming MON: After the unbonding period, users can claim their MON back from the protocol, simulating the eventual mainnet staking and unstaking process.
This simulation helps users understand how Kintsu’s liquid staking works and prepares them for interacting with sMON once Monad fully enables staking on-chain.
